Send text message reminders, new bulk update tool, and reporting improvements

We've made more improvements to ChargeOver, including a couple major new features that can save you time and improve cash flow. Here are the details:

#New features

#Send text message reminders to your customers

Stop chasing late payments over email. You can now automatically send Invoice Due and Past Due text messages directly to your customers' phones. This allows you to:

  • Improve revenue collection: Reach customers instantly where they are looking
  • Automate the nudge: Set it, forget it, and watch the payments roll in

Usage-based texting fees apply. Contact support for details.

#New bulk update tool

We've added a new tool you can use to bulk update a field on many items at once, so you can save tons of time and effort. After you select an object to update and upload a .CSV file with the changes, you can update everything with the click of a button.

There's a new report to improve the traceability of your terms and conditions. The Terms and Conditions Consent report is available in the Report Center, and includes information on who accepted terms and conditions, when the terms were accepted, and the text of the terms that were accepted.

#Request specific columns for report data via the REST API

When you get report data via the REST API, you can now specify which columns to include in the response by listing columns in the request body. This gives you more control to obtain the information you need, and you don't have to sort through irrelevant data.

#Other improvements

#Sync more data from ChargeOver to Salesforce

We've added the ability to sync a couple new data pieces up to Salesforce. This includes syncing:

  • An indicator for whether or not a customer opted in to auto-pay for future invoices
  • Invoice custom fields related to the applied payment

That way this information can be automatically pushed to Salesforce, and you can use it there without having to look for it in ChargeOver.

#Bug fixes

  • Fixed an error that was occurring when redirecting to a URL via hosted sign up pages
  • Fixed an issue where taxes on refunds were not calculated correctly
  • Fixed a bug where only the first ACH batch respected the maximum number of dollars per ACH batch allowed by a payment gateway
  • Fixed a bug where taxes were being calculated and charged for processing fees on tax-exempt customers
  • Fixed an issue that caused refunds to not sync to QuickBooks Online
