#New features
This month ChargeOver has rolled out a number of new dunning features, along with Stripe support for direct debit BECS payments in Australia.
#New dunning criteria and actions
#Send a webhook to your system as a dunning action
We've added support for sending a webhook as a dunning action. This can be helpful if you want the invoice details to be sent to a webhook URL when a dunning rule is triggered.
You can use this trigger to let your application know when, for example, a customer's subscription is 7 days overdue and you need to disable or notify your own application about the overdue status.
#Dun the first invoice on a subscription different than recurring subscription invoices
We've added a new dunning criteria to allow you to automate late-payment follow-ups on the first invoice for a subscription separately from late-payment follow-ups on subsequent, recurring invoices.
These new Subscription Lifecycle
option let's you choose different dunning paths for:
- The first invoice generated by a subscription
- vs. subsequent recurring invoices and/or renewal subscription invoices
#Stripe - add Australian direct debit support BECS
ChargeOver users in Australia can now accept Bulk Electronic Clearing System (BECS) Direct Debit payments from customers with an Australian bank account, using Stripe.
BECS Direct Debit is a reusable payment method for recurring debits, allowing transfer of funds directly from Australian bank accounts.
#Customer portal updates
ChargeOver has made a few updates to the customer portal to improve how subscriptions look in the portal:
- Added an option to show the product RATE and QUANTITY when viewing the subscription
- Added an option to show the DURATION on the subscription view (e.g. if a subscription expires)
#Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug syncing invoices to QuickBooks Online when taxable discounts resulted in a $0.00 (or less than $0.00) invoice total
